Now, let me tell you something. When you press play on this record, one of the first things that stands out is the overall vibe. There's a certain Texas flavor running through this track, and Cedric does a nice job bringing that energy to the table. I like the flow, I like the feel of the record, and most importantly, I like that this song doesn't take itself too seriously. Sometimes music is supposed to be about having a good time, enjoying the moment, and giving people something they can move to. That's part of what makes this track work.
Here's where I think Cedric might have something interesting on his hands. “BIGGER” has that stadium anthem energy! You know those records that you can imagine blasting through the speakers while thousands of fans are cheering in the stands? That's the kind of atmosphere I get from this song.
I could honestly picture this track playing at a football game, a baseball stadium, or even during one of those big sporting events where the crowd is already fired up. It's got that feel-good, crowd-friendly quality that makes you think about big moments, big celebrations, and everybody coming together to enjoy the energy.
And that's not a bad lane to be in! Not every record needs to be dark, serious, or filled with complicated messages. Sometimes you need a record that gets people moving, puts a smile on their faces, and gives the DJ something fun to throw into the mix. Cedric brings that type of energy with “BIGGER.”
Now, let's keep it REAL. At THE MIC, we're not here to hand out five Mics just because somebody drops a record. We listen, we pay attention, and we give our honest opinion. While I enjoy the flow and the Texas-inspired vibe, I think there's still room for this record to develop into something even bigger. The foundation is there, and I can hear the potential in the direction Cedric is going.
One thing I always tell independent artists is this: Find your sound, own your lane, and give people a reason to remember you. The music business is crowded, and everybody is fighting for attention. Having a record with a fun atmosphere and that big-event energy can help you stand out if you know how to put it in front of the right audience.
Cedric J. Taylor, keep working! Texas has always had its own flavor in the music game, and it's good to hear artists continuing to bring that regional identity into their sound.
So, what's the final word?
I like the flow. I like the vibe. I like the Texas flavor, and I can definitely hear “BIGGER” getting some love in an arena, at a sporting event, or anywhere people are looking for something with a little extra energy.
Is it a five-Mic record? Not for me this time. But does it have something going for it? Absolutely!
THE MIC RATING: 3 OUT OF 5 MICS!
Cedric J. Taylor, keep that energy going. Bigger things happen when you keep putting in the work!
