BX Gonz — “Want It To Work”
An honest review from DJ Franchise | THE MIC
When it comes to new music, I'm always willing to give an artist a chance. Every song has potential, but sometimes a record needs a little more work before it reaches its full potential. That's what THE MIC is all about — giving artists honest feedback and an opportunity to grow.
? THE REVIEW
BX Gonz brings us his new track, “Want It To Work.” The song isn't bad, and there is something here worth giving a listen to. The flow is just okay, but I believe the track could benefit from a few improvements.
First, I would like to hear the song mastered better so the overall sound comes across cleaner and more polished. The hook also needs some work. A stronger, more memorable hook could help the record connect with listeners and give them something they want to sing along to.
Would I run this track on my mixtape? YES!
Here's why: you never know what record is going to hit with the people. Music is subjective, and sometimes a song connects with an audience in ways you might not expect. I'm willing to give BX Gonz that opportunity, but I also want to see him take the constructive criticism and make the record better.
BX Gonz, go back to the studio, work on that hook, get the mastering right, and let's see what you can do with this record. I'd like to hear the improved version so we can give it another listen and hopefully deliver a stronger review next time.
That's what supporting new artists is about — not just telling you what you want to hear, but helping you see where you can improve.

Final verdict: A record with potential that needs stronger mastering and a more memorable hook. I'd give it a chance on my mixtape, and I'd like to hear the artist return with an improved version.
